Richard Gude Advances His IT Career Through the Network+ Course

Richard Gude Talks to GreenLexi about his experience taking the Network+ Course.

GreenLexi, LLC recently interviewed Richard Gude, a current student in the Network+ Course offered by Code Black Tech. Mr. Gude shares how he will advance his IT career through this course. We always like to ask how students learned about these opportunities. Mr. Gude advised as follows:

How Richard Gude Learned About Network+ Training

Richard first learned about the training through a former coworker, Ms. Mercedes Phillips. Already working as an Application Support Analyst, he saw this course as an opportunity to expand his knowledge and strengthen his technical foundation. We were wondering, does his current role require that he know Network+?

Bringing Passion to Networking

Although his current role doesn’t directly require the Network+ certification, Richard sees great value in building skills that connect to his existing certifications in Cloud Computing.

“Cloud is a branch of Networking, so the love for me is to be able to tie it all together,” he shared. Next, we wanted to know did Mr. Gude already have networking experience?

Prepared and Ready to Learn

Richard came into the program with some prior networking experience. While not all of that knowledge stuck over the years, he credits the familiarity with helping him engage with the training more effectively.

“Having some familiarity with the concepts has definitely helped me out.” Switching gears just a bit, we asked Mr. Gude to tell us a fun fact about himself.

If Richard had it his way, every day would be a combination of fitness and learning:

“My ideal everyday life would be going to the gym and diving into courses like this one.” Next, we asked Mr. Gude, what inspires and/or motivates him?

Mr. Gude credits his parents as his greatest inspiration, citing their strong work ethic and dedication in providing a good life for him and his siblings.

“That work ethic has been passed down to me.” Excellent answer! After graduation, what were the next steps and/or career goals?

Looking Ahead: Career Goals

After graduation, Richard plans to combine his Network+ certification with his existing cloud certifications to pursue a role in Cloud Technology. His goals include positions such as Cloud Analyst, Cloud Developer, or Cloud Administrator. Any final thoughts?

Next Steps After Network+

Mr. Gude and his cohort are scheduled to complete the Network+ course at the end of September, immediately followed by Security+ training. With his determination and passion for tech, we’re confident Richard’s future in the industry is bright.
